Lead poisoning of waterfowl is a serious problem causing a loss nationwide of about 2 million ducks and geese each year. Using non-toxic shot on key problem areas may be as significant to the well-being of our waterfowl resource as preserving nesting areas, a project which has long been an important objective of waterfowlers.
